How Counselling Can Help

The decision to see a counsellor can seem quite daunting but it is often the first step along the road to addressing our problems.

Often our body tells us there is something not quite right but we cannot access what is troubling us. In my experience, it isn’t always the big things in life that give us so much pain, sometimes it is just a little thing which seems so difficult to resolve. Sharing your concerns may help you to find your own way to accept and deal with painful feelings.

Counselling can also help us to increase our self esteem so that we can improve our relationships with others and live more authentically.

As a Person-Centred therapist my work is non directional giving you the freedom to work at your own pace dealing with issues when you feel ready to do so. My aim is to offer you empathy and respect within a confidential, friendly and peaceful setting to help you to clarify and understand your feelings without interpretation or criticism.

In addition I offer experiential focusing as a way of bodily sensing our problems. If you would like to find out more information on experiential focusing please visit www.focusing.org

I look forward to sharing with you laughter and tears on your journey towards greater self awareness and self acceptance.
